Move2Learn led runners in a warm-up for the 17th Run! Geek! Run! 5k&1 Mile Fun Run Sunday to benefit Peterson Life with Cancer at Inova Schar Center. The annual race benefits Alexandria-based nonprofits; last year, we were the beneficiary! bit.ly/rungeekrun17 RUN! GEEK! RUN!

Earlier this month, Move2Learn staff participated in the 2nd Champions for Youth Summit hosted by Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth - VFHY to focus on best practices to impact youth! Together, we serve ACPS Hispanic middle schoolers through our Outside the Classroom programming. vfhy.org

Jogging through nature on a beautiful fall day, these students are members of the Move2Learn Morning Movers Club Ferdinand T. Day Elementary School. They arrive early to get in quality running/walking time before their school day starts. They love it, and so do we! Alexandria City Public Schools

The Move2Learn Ping Pong Club has been a highlight for a bunch of Casa Chirilagua middle schoolers the past several weeks. Students who belong to the Move2Learn Morning Movers Club Ferdinand T. Day Elementary School celebrated the end of the season w/an awards ceremony. Coach Alex & 3 other teachers made it a very special day for everyone! The club met @ 7am every morning to get moving so they were ready to learn!


Melissa Gelinas, from Liberty's Promise, invited us to hang w/her students International Academy 🌎 Alexandria City HS. W/Melissa translating, Jen led the 10 students in a SEAL lesson. Everyone got a Move2Learn toolkit! LP supports young immigrants in need, encouraging them to be active American citizens.
