A somber reminder of the dangers of spaceflight. Space Shuttle Atlantis’ body flap washed up ashore after STS-51L. Challenger had been using the body flap of Atlantis due to issues with its own. Atlantis would fly 31 more missions carrying Challenger’s before she retired in 2011.
