Scarce bordered straw among 89 moths of 38 species to MV light here (Heathfield TA4, VC5) on 17th July. Coxcomb prominent and Large emerald were also new for the garden. Scarce bordered straw and silver Y appeared early in tonight's moth trapping session, accompanied by multiple kamikaze hornets that found the head torch a source of amusement (not shared). Retreated with fingers crossed for more migrants overnight. Somerset Moth Group

Flutter of mothing excitement when I found this #migrantmothuk Delicate on the outside of the MV trap this morning (TA4 VC5). 2nd this year, other was in June. Feathered thorn (2) and Green-brindled crescent plus an Agonopterix heracliana agg. Somerset Moth Group
