MOST is incredibly proud to say that we have a 93% four-year college/university matriculation rate. To be clear, the students, themselves, accomplished this! We simply partnered with their parents and provided them the OPPORTUNITY to shine their light! ✨🍎

MOST is built on the belief that all children deserve an equal opportunity to receive the education that best fits their needs—regardless of their ZIP codes or financial circumstances. Dedicated to partnering on the premise of OPPORTUNITY, not status, race, gender, or religion.

If you're reaching out to MOST, it might be because you think your neighborhood public school isn't up to par. But are you sure? We recommend checking it out first because it's hard to beat the convenience and community you get from going to a neighborhood school — and it's free.

Did you know that 8% of a family's income is committed to schooling?? That may not seem like a large number, but for some families, especially those with multiple children, this number can be very impactful! When you donate, this is what you're investing in!

It's time to highlight another form of school choice: Homeschooling! Everyday patterns can give a familiar structure that allows you and your child to learn and live side-by-side. If your child requires more of a one on one, personal teaching style, this may be a PERFECT choice!

Highlight: Charter schools are independently operated public schools that have the freedom to design classrooms that meet their students’ needs. This option is great for parents who want their child to have personal expression and a tailored education to fit their needs.

A common question we get is: At which school can scholarships be used? Scholarships can be used at any of our partner schools. We recommend that you thoroughly research the schools you are looking at for your child, taking into consideration cost!

Children are our future! They are eager and impressionable, and their brains develop extensively from birth to age 5. Research shows that early education helps close the achievement gap that can begin as early as 18 months into a child’s life!

Perhaps you are looking for a certain kind of learning environment (e.g. smaller class sizes, single-gender, etc.) or the incorporation of religious teaching. If so, then a private school might be right for you!

Another question we get is "what is the maximum amount that MOST will give?" The amount of a MOST scholarship is determined by family size and income relative to tuition, less any financial aid provided by the school. For the 2022–2023 school year, the maximum award is $3,300.

Another important reason to prioritize early education is because it teaches children how to be learners. If a child’s introduction to classroom learning is in an overly academic environment, they may fail to develop a strong sense of curiosity and be turned off from school.

Whether you choose a one-time or recurring monthly gift, your support will enable a Memphis-area family to send their child to a school of their choice. And, did you know, if you give $20 a month, for 12 months, you can sponsor a MOST scholar!?
