A wrongful removal of a child, who ends up dead. It sickens me that disabilities are used to blame the victim in these cases. This is highly offensive to me as a person with disabilities.

The media needs to stop using his trafficked name of Michael Miranda. They need to stop referring to his aunt and her husband as his parents. His mother was fighting to get him back after he was taken from her. None of this should have happened. He should still be alive.

Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay and I’m raising awareness as a therapist and as a victim of this child supply market to ask why these systems are still being used if states admit they are broken? After millions of dollars and decades of fixing, children are still turning up dead.

I am a victim of a global child supply market. Who is willing to answer my pleas for help?

The media stopped covering this case 2 years ago, but I found the court records from Sept this year. The couple appealed their charges and successfully got two of the 26 charges dropped, further delaying the case as a new sentencing hearing is scheduled. It’s been 9 years!

Let’s remember Susan aka Grace. Her body was found 9 years ago this month. This should not have happened to her or any child. Yet countless more children have continued to be bought and killed across the country. #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth

This should not have happened to Selena. We need laws and policies that stop these crimes before children are killed. State agencies need to be held accountable not given more money. And what happened to Selena’s sister? The state took her and she’s disappeared.

November is #indigenousheritagemonth and as someone who was taken from my homeland, I stand with all indigenous people who have endured crimes against humanity. Together we must continue to speak truth to power.

The truth is human trafficking has been involved in crimes against humanity for centuries, yet remains one of the fastest growing criminal industries in the world and is celebrated everywhere. That’s so crazy to me!

The human trafficking industry uses “adoption” as propaganda to run a child supply market. November is Native American Heritage Month and I stand with them today and every day in truth and solidarity for justice and peace.

What happened to Leslie and her baby is horrifying and all too common! We need to amplify her story that mainstream US news is not covering. Mothers being murdered to sell their babies to Americans calling it “adoption.” This needs to stop now.
