This. Only a fool believes their viewpoint is the only right viewpoint. Maybe 25% of the people I interact with on a daily basis hold the same beliefs as I do on a given subject (including Twitter). I prefer it that way. I am really uncomfortable when everyone agrees with me.😎

A lot of the replies here miss the point: Raising prices for a luxury product isn't "anti-consumer". A company can and should sell their product for the highest price that most customers will pay. However, suing anyone trying to preserve games you abandoned is anti-consumer.

Fun fact: I had to retake two college courses that I was failing due to my addiction to Morrowind on the OG Xbox. I'd boot up in the evening after class, blink, and it was dawn. That OG Xbox nostalgia hits hard, and you can only get those games on PC nowadays. Kinda sad.

Friendly reminder! Use MFA and strong passwords on everything. Had to help the homie get his shit protected and don't want that to happen to anyone else. Its a small hassle but will prevent most ppl from accessing your online accounts.

This 100%. I seriously can't stress it enough. Preferably using an authenticator app like Proton 's Authenticator, but even unsecure SMS MFA is better than nothing.

If you are waiting for Steam OS main release to switch to Linux, DON'T! Steam OS isn't bad. It's just not doing anything that you can't do on other distros like Pop OS, Catchy OS, Nobara, Bazzite or a non gaming distro. like Ubuntu or Mint. It's just a matter of what's built in.

As an engineer, I'd like to place an option in this decision chart for "Do you want your data sold online?" -> "No?" -> "Fully analog, paper and pencil. Maybe an abacus." 🤣

Literally no one would complain about the Epic Games Store if Epic put in the effort to build a platform better than Steam, targeting resolutions to criticisms of Steam. Heaven knows Epic has the resources since they are running EGS in the red as is. Instead, they buy exclusives.

Valve isn’t paying 3rd Party Game devs for exclusivity rights. 3rd party game devs naturally gravitated to Steam because as it stands right now, its where most PC Gamers lurk. Tim Sweeney by contrast explicitly told us that Epic Games Store poaches 3rd party devs, giving them

i7-11700K 32 GB DDR4 RTX-3080 4.5 TB NVMe storage I think I'll be good for a while, especially since I mostly stream games with Apollo/Moonlight to smaller devices at 1080p/60 Hz. And there's no 100 hour per month cap!

Yeah, pretty much all of the opinions that people on X share with which I *technically* agree. And I wouldn't do any better than them if I chimed in. That's why I try to keep most opinions outside of gaming/tech to myself. 😅
