Hit sitcom Two's Company starring Elaine Stritch & Sir Donald Sinden first aired this day in 1975. It regularly attracted audiences of 17 million. It was a bucket list moment for me to reunite the stars one last time for a charity event at Pinewood Studios in 2002.

Morris Bright MBE Remember it well. Thankfully the many millions who tuned in to watch this kid try & fill Terry's boots took to the character immediately & by end of the first episode normal service had been resumed. I will be ever grateful to the audience & fans of Minder for being so kind❤👊👍

If you've not seen this show yet, do book, you won't be disappointed. If you have already seen this show, as I have, book again, as I have, because you know you won't be disappointed

After a busy and up and down old week I've taken myself out to the West End to see Hello Dolly at the magnificent The London Palladium before it finishes next weekend. Only bought ticket a couple of days ago after recommendations. Let's see.

Barbara Streisand played Dolly Levi in the film Hello Dolly when she was 27. Imelda Staunton is playing Dolly Levi on stage at The London Palladium aged 58 and boy did she just knock it out of the park. Stunning nuanced performance. And the voice! Wow! Bravo to the whole cast & crew.

Whenever I'm down there's two clips I watch. Wilson, Kepple & Betty performing the Sand Dance, and Peter Sellers' take on George Formby. Never fail to lift the spirits and shows how our comic heroes had their comic heroes. #turnedoutniceagain

Auto captioning as funny as Frankie Howerd. His line "before we start this little Eisteddfod" (a traditional Welsh arts gathering) translates to "before we start this Little Ice, Stedford". (Stedford is a hospital in India.) What would Frankie have made of modern technology!

Have been celebrating the birthdays of my two boys today. The eldest is 28 and the youngest is 15. Same birthday, thirteen years apart. Just received a message "you don't look old enough to have a 28 year old son". It's all down to daily laughter. And special effects.

Here's Dick Van Dyke visiting the set of Carry On Up the Khyber in 1968 while making Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on an adjacent lot Pinewood Studios. Sid James died in 1976 aged 62 and Roy Castle in 1994 also aged 62. Dick's had an extra 50% and still going strong in 2024. Wonderful.

We took my youngest to One World Trade Centre, New York, in 2017 after visits by my then wife & I in 2003 & 2006 to the sites of the atrocities where we paid our respects to those lost on 9/11. Our thoughts & prayers today with those lost and still affected. We must never forget.

Acting great Sir Donald Sinden died this day 10 yrs ago. I absolutely adored him. A master of his craft. He once told me that he and Windsor Davies wanted to stop making Never the Twain ... "but Morris, they offered us so much money to make another series, it seemed rude not to!"
