Emotional interview with the late Dame Barbara Windsor's husband, Scott Mitchell, talking about Babs, their 27 years together and her fight against Dementia. Dear friends both of them, going back 30 years. #DementiaActionWeek UK Dementia Research Institute

Eight years since we lost Roger Moore. Here at Elstree Studios in 2006, five days before I was getting married. "Getting married? What number?" Roger asked "Two!" "Take my advice, cut out the middleman and give her the house now!" And we laughed. (I'm not laughing as much now!)

Wishing all at Talking Pictures TV a happy 10th birthday. Bringers of joy across all genres to all ages, delighted that we at Elstree Studios early on made them a season of 13 shows with famous British screen faces including Valerie Leon, Sally Thomsett Norman Eshley & Sylvia Syms.

"I worked at Elstree Studios many times. I've a souvenir from working with Errol Flynn. Still got my finger. Just. I won't tell you what he said when he did it...or what I said. But it was after lunch!" I filmed Sir Christopher Lee, #botd 1922, at Elstree Studios in 1996. #star

One half of the greatest comedy double acts our country has ever produced, Eric Morecambe, died this day in 1984 aged just 58. Proud to own one of Eric's suits, bought at a charity tribute event to the pair I co-organised at Pinewood Studios in 1998.

A very happy 91st birthday to actress and writer Nanette Newman. One of the loveliest people in the industry, her late husband was actor, writer, producer and director Bryan Forbes who was also Managing Director of Elstree Studios in the early 70s.

Glorious evening in the company of actor, writer and raconteur George Layton reading from his acclaimed books of short stories, at the The Cinema Museum. Such a nice guy whose scripts & performances I've admired for decades. Well done to Misty Moon for another fun event.

Wonderful to have the 100th Anniversary of Elstree Studios started by HRH the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Edward a keen supporter of the creative industries. My third attendance at a Royal Visit at the Studios ... 1999, 2013 and 2025. Proud that Elstree still survives and thrives.

Damp weather didn't dampen the spirits last night going to watch Witness for the Prosecution. Third time I've seen the show in six years. Cast was excellent. Wonderfully immersive and atmospheric. London not looking too shabby either.
