Amazing things happen when scientists that treat patients partner with those who make #innovation , like at the Ovarian Cancer Research Facility, a research center at the edge of health tech.
Their tireless work behind scenes plays an invaluable role in protecting our health 🇨🇦
Today, The Honourable François-Philippe Champagne (FPC) 🇨🇦, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, & Andy Fillmore, MP 🇨🇦, Member of Parliament & Parliamentary Secretary for Innovation, Science and Industry, toured the #ovariancancer research labs at Dalhousie University to discover our progress.
Happy to be back at Jeanette Boudreau (she/her)'s ovarian cancer research lab, this time with François-Philippe Champagne (FPC) 🇨🇦. Dr. Boudreau's lab is studying novel ways to treat ovarian cancer. An excellent example of health research happening right here in #Halifax with promising and far-reaching impact!
So excited to finally share this work! Nick Dawe Jeanette Boudreau (she/her) Brendan Leung T-SLICE is a novel in-vitro platform which allows for modeling and study of different tumor microenvironments 🧫🔬
Ever wish you can see how cells behave inside a large tumour? Check out the pre-print of our T-SLICE platform with Jeanette Boudreau (she/her), Morgan Pugh-Toole and Nick Dawe where we cultured and imaged tumour cells within a cell-driven hypoxic TME.
