Cheers 🥂 to the inspiring European Congress of Arachnology ECA Greifswald 2022 last week! I was astounded by the welcoming community and the fascinating work presented! I was also very honored to receive the 1st place poster prize. Until next time! 🕷 #arachnology22

I had such a fantastic time at the #biotremology conference in lovely Piran last week! What a treat to attend such a focused and engaging meeting, and I especially enjoyed meeting many amazing scientists! Thank you again to all of the organizers!

New synthesis paper out in the journal #Oecologia! We reviewed the literature on prey‑attraction strategies in spiders, highlighting the role of a trade-off between foraging & predator avoidance in the evolution of predator-prey interactions 👇 doi.org/10.1007/s00442…

Kardelen Özgün Uludağ and Michelle Beyer show that female spiders can reveal a lot about themselves through their silk lines, and males use that information during mate search! 🕷️ You can read all about it in our latest Behavioral Ecology paper ⬇️ bit.ly/spider_behecol

5 years ago I was lucky enough to spend my mornings studying butterfly behavior in an interhsip with @DickMerrill and Chi-Yun Kuo at Smithsonian Panama. This project has a special place in my heart and I'm very happy to have it as the first publication with my name on it 🦋💙
