Thanks to Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft for the invitation to present with Alessandro Moretti our work on commercial sexual exploitation this week in Vienna. Great to discuss this with other researchers and practitioners across Europe.

Some updates. Last month I was invited to present on 2 panels for IASOC Global Initiative 24h conference. First, a great discussion on #OrganisedCrime with expert ethnographers David L. The KU Samfundsvidenskab team then flew to Amer Soc of Crim in San Francisco, where Keith Hayward and I presented our work on a new, coded language used by individuals sharing hate online. Thanks Jakob Demant Kristoffer Aagesen Tom Holt Kevin Steinmetz and Professor Cassandra Cross for a great roundtable! 🇺🇸

Also! An absolute highlight of the #California trip was seeing two of my favourites: jason lytle in LA + Manchester Orchestra in SF. Somehow managed to snag the setlist for both shows, and had the pleasure of meeting Andy Hull and spending time with the band! Truly unforgettable.

This is the best summary of why you see so little innovation actually gain traction in the ticketing space. Access to ticket inventory is the only thing that matters.
