We are mourning with our colleagues in WCK.
7 of their aid workers were killed by an Israeli air strike in Gaza.
WCK had informed the IDF of their movement.
Nowhere else are so many aid workers killed.
There must be an immediate ceasefire. Enough now.

'They are preventing aid to starving children.'

Jan Egeland tells Krishnan Guru-Murthy very little humanitarian aid has entered besieged Gaza since 7 October, and 'tens of thousands' of aid trucks have been denied access by Israel.

At any street corner and there are flimsy shelters for ’s displaced here in Rafah. No garbage collection, no sewage, lack of food and water. Aid trucks are stuck next door in Israel and Egypt. The desperation is growing. Only hope is a ceasefire and an end to this nightmare

Shocked by conditions at this school in Rafah, . 4500 here come from Gaza City, Khan Younis etc. The disabled, the pregnant and the newborn share18 latrines with 4500 others. Malnutrition, epidemic disease and trauma is everywhere. NRC providing all the aid we can get in.

Hundreds of aid trucks wait in line to cross into Gaza at the Rafah and Kerem Shalom crossings to a starving civilian population. There has not been a single day we have gotten the needed 500 trucks across. The system is broken and Israel could fix it for the sake of the innocent

Destruction, despair and desperation here in Rafah, , where 1,4 million Palestinians have sought refuge from the devastation elsewhere.
People cry for a ceasefire, they cannot sustain more suffering. The displaced are seeking shelter everywhere:

‘Anyone, anyone can break loose from his chains. That courage, no matter how deeply buried, is always waiting to be called out. All it needs is the right coaxing, the right voice to do that coaxing, & it will come roaring like a tiger.’
