I just want everyone to know that this tweet has been fantastically successful and that I just learned some truly mindblowing things about snot. (thanks Marc Goudge)

Big day for AndarawisPuri_Lab! Congrats to PhD recipients Monideepa Chatterjee, PhD Jason C. Marvin, PhD (he/they) 🏳️🌈🇹🇼 and Patrick Muljadi and to MS recipient @Erin_E_Maloney! I am proud beyond words!

Can #metabolism explain differences in intra- and extrasynovial #tendon healing capacities? Orthopaedic Research Society members demonstrated that intrasynovial tendons rely on #glycolysis whereas extrasynovial tendons use more #OxPhos #ORSSMC WashU Ortho Research Journal of Orthopaedic Research® ow.ly/N3Cg50JPXM7

BREAKING: White House issues new policy that will require, by 2026, all federally-funded research results to be freely available to public without delay, ending longstanding ability of journals to paywall results for up to 1 year. Coverage coming on ScienceInsider.

Excited to share our latest AndarawisPuri_Lab preprint investigating the role of sexual dimorphism in tendon regeneration! Using scarless healing-associated metrics, we find that super-healer MRL/MpJ tendon cells display a universal regenerative phenotype 🧫🐁🔬 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Congrats to the 2023 recipient of the Stryker/ORS Women's Research Fellowship: Carolyn Chlebek, PhD of the Rosen lab at MaineHealth! As a Stryker fellow, she will investigate bone quality in obese preclinical models following caloric restriction Learn more: bit.ly/3PjjspR

Excited to share my latest publication in Journal of Orthopaedic Research®: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.100… 🌟 We evaluated sex differences in regenerative tendon cell behavior using the super-healer MRL/MpJ mouse 🐁🧫🔬 We found key cellular features associated with the MRL/MpJ phenotype were conserved!

Accepted this week: Histological and Immunohistochemical Guide to Tendon Tissue. JOR. This was a fun collaborative effort by AndarawisPuri_Lab Dyment Lab and Catherine K. Kuo, Ph.D.. Well done Monideepa Chatterjee, PhD and all the trainees involved for putting up with input from 3 PIs! Congrats team!

Accepted this week: “The Superior Healing Capacity of MRL Tendons Is Minimally Influenced by the Systemic Environment of The MRL Mouse”. Scientific Reports. Congrats to Borys Frankewycz et al! AndarawisPuri_Lab @bbell37 Monideepa Chatterjee, PhD

Happy to see the Journal of Orthopaedic Research® Special Issue: Guiding the Future of Tendon Research is out! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/toc/1554527x/c… Thanks to all who participated, especially Soslowsky Lab, Andy Kuntz, perspective paper authors, JOR editorial staff, and NIAMS The National Institute on Aging (NIA) for the support!
