Fieldwork in Uganda, fieldwork in Ghana, presentation at #ISME18, participation in SPUR UOregon, and running our S.P.I.C.E camp activity - it was amazing to finally get back to a normal(ish) summer of science. Looking forward to keeping it up this next year!!!

Congrats to Diana Christie on successfully defending + depositing her dissertation. Amazing research on social transmission, development, and plasticity in the gut microbiome. It’s sad to see Dr. Christie leave but we’re excited to see her continue to make her mark on the world!

Goodbye Los Angeles and #AABA2024! Thank you to AABA for organizing such an amazing conference. Saw old friends, met new ones, @SamanthaQueeno presented some of her dissertation results, and we took in some sights. It was an epic trip!
