Hellooo from Riot Games HQ. They are working on multiple new games atm, hopefully one of them will be really good! Been quite some time since I loved a game for a long time. Nice campus and passionate people, I enjoyed my visit there.

By contrast to Riot, Activision seemed very corporate and more about appealing to shareholders than to care about gamers. I feel sorry for Blizzard having to deal with all of this..

Activision wants to max profit and brute release X amount of games/xpacks a year. This is in direct contrast with Blizzards philosophy of excellence in games and "it's done when it's done" which is what made them so successful in the past.

In regards to D3:Immortal I'll just say one thing-never neglect your core audience, which originally made you successful, in the pursuit of exploiting new opportunities in the market. This strategy is bound to fail, at one point even the most hardcore fans will stop buying games.

I feel so lost, where did my addiction/motivation to play video games go

Finally had a good meeting with my master thesis advisor and making progress after slacking for months. Hoping to finish in Feb/March and start my next chapter, either a nice job or a return to content creation for video games!
