New replicated, pre-registered finding on IQ and moral foundations: Higher IQ individuals care less about harm and equality and are less loyal, more disobedient, less pure. g works its effects by lowering individualizing and "binding". (open access link below)

XBe We used Mohammad Atari Jesse Graham and Jonathan Haidt's revised MFQ-2: Almost every item is updated, the structure is superb and it has killer predictive validity! Items are now is all one style, just how well each statement describes you or your opinions. e.g., Care: "I am

This is a plug for the big-tent, theory driven field of evolutionary anthropology. We study humans across all of our species' history wherever we are found, from small bands in tropical rain forests or arctic deserts, to urban mega-cities.

Paper w/ Tom Carpenter, PhD (@tcarpenter.bsky.social) & Alexandra Goedderz at PSPB!🚨 The standard IAT is only 5 min long. We found that making the IAT longer by taking it multiple times greatly improves predictive validity. Paper link and 🧵below, with practical advice about how to run IATs!

To extract psychological measures from historical text, we bolted a pre-processing step (for questionnaires) onto the front end of Mohammad Atari's Contextual Construct Representation (CCR) Approach. This resulted in an important methods paper: arxiv.org/abs/2403.00509

New preprint! 🔔 3.5 years in the making. I’m very proud of the work that Yuqi Chen has done in this project over the last few years. We are lucky to have her in the field.
