The #CHF2024 presented a report on efforts to prevent the diversion of aid and to establish a law that would prevent humanitarian aid from falling into the wrong hands. #SoDMA and regional ministries of Humanitarian Affairs shared this information at the meeting.

1/2 Today, I had the opportunity to meet with the WFP Country Director in Somalia El-Khidir Daloum. Our discussions focused on humanitarian interventions and the policies addressing aid diversions. We explored the specific humanitarian initiatives underway.

We also addressed the critical issue of aid diversion, discussing measures in place to ensure that assistance reaches those who need it most. Overall, the meeting highlighted the need for collaboration among various stakeholders to enhance the impact of humanitarian efforts.

Today; Minister Hon Hon. Abdirahman Dhiriq and OCHA Somalia held a key discussion in mugadishu. To streamline coordination with Lanina and explore OCHA Somalia role in scaling interventions in newly liberated and coastal areas, while contributing to the Aid Diversion Policy development.
