New paper studies patterns of song ordering in music albums, providing a method for automatically sequencing tracks in the way that professional musicians tend to do. The paper also raises some questions about the perceptual relevance of song-sequencing. tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

This is an important new resource for people interested in the science of music. It combines academic rigor and a wide disciplinary scope while still somehow managing to make it accessible for students and non-specialists. I couldn't recommend it more! #musicscience
