#COP27: on Solutions Day I rode Mobility for Africa’s e-trikes, an eco-friendly solution to rural women’s transport problems in🇿🇼. Cheaper: $3 per 100km for battery power compared to ~$10 for diesel. Cleaner: no noise or air pollution. Better: door to door through narrow streets.

More on Mobility for Africa’s e-tricycles: I loved talking to women drivers & farmers who use them. One told me: “It’s now cheaper to transport our produce and there’s less labour involved in carrying the goods. Things I loved about UK-supported #MobilityforAfrica’s e-trikes - battery powered with ☉ charging stations, these Hambas not only run on #cleanenergy but are lower cost than dirty fuel equivalents, and easier to use on rough terrain. They're designed for women – no straddle bar!
