History Hub Ulster recently undertook research on behalf of the Mid and East Antrim Borough Council (managed by the Braid Museum team) to identify additional names to be added to the Ballymena WW2 War Memorial. The rededication took place today, 15th October 2023. Mid and East Antrim Borough Council

Off in a little bit to do justice to L/Cpl Fred Room VC, 2/Royal Irish Regiment as we unveil a Bristol Civic Society blue plaque on his former house in St George, Bristol. It’s the 107th anniversary of when he received his VC from the King on Durdham Down.
