Over the last two days, 15 field samplers from six major tuna landing sites were trained on data collection protocols to gather fishery and tuna length frequency data. MMRI is working with MSPEA to enhance efforts in collecting scientific data from tuna fisheries.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our DDG for Mariculture Research, Hassan Shakeel. A pioneer in mariculture, he dedicated 40 years to MMRI, mentoring many and shaping the field. May Allah (SWT) grant him Jannatul Firdaus and give strength to his family and loved ones.
