The budget debate demonstrated something surprising and refreshing. Good faith people with differing perspectives actually reached something of a compromised. And everyone likes each other after. Hopeful. #umcgc
FA just passed an amendment to raise the apportionment base rate effectively raising the general church budget $40.6 million dollars. I was against it and don’t think this arbitrary raising of the budget is a good idea. #umcgc

Amended budget passes. We got there! For those following at home, we basically passed the GCFA and connectional table budget (base rate for apportionments) with the amendment that if our collection rate hits 90% we will increase budget last two years #umcgc
