Tosa East had a conference record 5-43 from 19-22’, not long ago. This week Wisconsin Gov officials called our program resilient, it was the ultimate compliment. Foundation was built & is kept by resilient players. Tough doesn’t sum how hard it was. But tough sums up our kids

Traveling this weekend and naturally going through photos on the plane. One of my favorites. Watching people I love experience joy knowing how much they have dedicated & sacrificed was a moment unlike any I’ve had as a player. We do this for them. Grateful to be along the ride.

Grief never really goes away. It morphs, adjusts. In the highs of a State Championship, pregnancy & the lows of illness, loss, it shows up. A quiet whisper or a burning sorrow. And when it’s that time of the year it lingers & reminds us just how devastating yet beautiful life is

Talked w/ a coach who is looking to build a HS program. I always mention having a network of HS coaches. They know what it’s like! Hard situations, losses, opinions. Brian Hendricks, George Sotiros, Mallory Liebl helped keep my sanity in the GMC early years. Lots of advice/venting! 😅

Feeling grateful for our Tosa community who showed UP to support our players whether golfing or donating. Many would be shocked what all goes into a HS season budget that we are responsible ourselves (ps winning state adds extra costs 😅) Lot of thank you cards to write!

This team is not just fun to coach, but fun to be around in general. Lots of laughs, diving for loose balls, and of course a stop at Culver’s. WIAA did a fantastic job with this event!
