Tomorrow is Library Day! Please return those books!

Making towers of 10 is super fun when you get to steal your partner's towers! Today we practiced our make 10 facts. We will work on them until they're quickly recalled!

Do YOU know the floss rule? 1 syllable, 1 short vowel, ends in f,l,s, or z? Double that ending consonant! We're floss rule champs!

We hold the power of peace in our hands. We remember.

We have a few extra grade two friends playing make 10 with us this morning! All grade twos know that 10 is the friendliest number.

As we continue our exploration of the author's message in stories that we read, we delve into learning about diversity and inclusion. We are learning to accept and embrace differences instead of pointing them out.

Exploring equalities and inequalities with number balances was a lot of fun today!

We are awesome team members! Today we tried to make the longest chain with one piece of paper. What we really learned was how to work together and have fun!

Today we counted objects by 2. Then we counted the same objects by 5. Then we counted them by 10. When we met after, we wondered why we always ended up with the same amount, no matter how we counted. Some of us didn't end up with the same amount - we wondered why that happened?

We wear our orange shirts today and honour the meaning of this day. We continue to read stories, have conversations, and learn from the past.

These tools? We call them "Magic Makers" in 2 Hardiman! They turn a whole into 2 parts!

Dear October, thank you for this day where we can go outside to create and extend patterns!

What happens when we count 10? We bundle! Getting efficient with counting!

We read "I'm a Booger, Treat Me With Respect!" and then made sure our tissue boxes have booger ghosts on them to remind us to use them!

Even our stuffies have to participate in writing workshop today!
