So Nigel Farage MP says he’s sent a letter. In The Telegraph he says it’s an email. In the video he’s “about to send a letter.” As a Conservatives county councillor I can confirm the first two aren’t true, and he can save himself a stamp if the third is accurate.

When Walter Scott's Waverley was first published in 1814, it was a record breaking success, selling more copies than all other novels combined that year! 📚 Edinburgh’s Waverley station is named after it and is the only railway station in the world to be named after a novel.

This is lovely though if I’m to nitpick my great-grandmother’s name was Mary Monica and ‘Maxwell’ would more be referring to my great-grandfather Joe but either way I feel more eateries should be named after my family, we have names to spare. kentlive.news/news/tunbridge…

“We’re often asked, what would you do?…We would freeze council tax.” Keir Starmer thinks you’ll forget he promised to freeze your council tax. Luckily, we kept the receipts.

Sad news. I wrote a speech for Alan once, he’d call at random moments and download a stream of consciousness at you, often littered with stories about notable people he’d known (in particular about “Stan” - turned out to be Kubrick). It was great fun and so was he. RIP

Mayor Khan says he won't do pay per mile. But he also says he's still committed to his Net Zero 2030 plan which "requires" pay per mile to reduce traffic by 27%. So which is it? I tried to get some sense out of him today.
