This is actually a BIG warning slide aimed at most cardiologist in Malaysia.. You think you can echo.. but if u calculate EF from a PLAX.. or dont know an artefact from a dissection on PLAX.. then you are doing more harm then good.. #CardioX #CardioTwitter

Japan's medical schools have quietly rigged exam scores for more than a decade to keep women out of school. Up to 20 points out of 80 were deducted for girls, but even then, some girls still got in.

Congratulations to the authors for not including the bogus unplanned revascularization or angiography as a component of the primary endpoint. If they had, we would be talking about this study in a completely different way.

Happy to have written editorial for OCCUPI with Gary Mintz The Lancet thelancet.com/journals/lance… An important trial that advances our understanding of OCT use in complex PCI. It's not using imaging that makes a difference, it's achieving optimal image guided results

Mamas A. Mamas The Lancet Great editorial - and final remark is spot on: "With available data, the question is no longer whether you should use intravascular imaging for people with complex PCI, but rather how you use it and whether optimal imaging criteria have been achieved"

Congratulations Jung-Min Ahn I think this is one of the trials that will have the broadest impact at the esc for the everyday clinician along with senior rita

I can see the future as ‘imaging interventional cardiologists’ and ‘non imaging interventional cardiologists’ and yes - good imaging improves PCI and outcomes - if it doesn’t i think it is down to bad imagers

In the wake of the highly successful European Society of Cardiology #ESC2024 that saw the publication of many important RCTs, it bears mentioning that observational data are good for describing practice patterns, not for treatment comparisons.

In view of my track record / expertise I've been asked to review this paper for the journal "cosmetic science" - i didn't think my hair greyed that prematurely to make me an expert on the subject 😜😜
