New Anthropic research: AI values in the wild. We want AI models to have well-aligned values. But how do we know what values they’re expressing in real-life conversations? We studied hundreds of thousands of anonymized conversations to find out.

🚨 NEW: We made Claude, Gemini, o3 battle each other for world domination. We taught them Diplomacy—the strategy game where winning requires alliances, negotiation, and betrayal. Here's what happened: DeepSeek turned warmongering tyrant. Claude couldn't lie—everyone

No signs of an end to rapid gains in AI ability at ever-decreasing costs yet I did my best to update my chart to take into account the price drop in o3 & the new models released by Google. GPT-4 was 2.25 years ago,so its worth noting the trend when considering the future of AI.

Nice - my AI startup school talk is now up! Chapters: 0:00 Imo fair to say that software is changing quite fundamentally again. LLMs are a new kind of computer, and you program them *in English*. Hence I think they are well deserving of a major version upgrade in terms of

Gemini Deep Research has gotten very good since it was upgraded to 2.5 Pro. Claude and ChatGPT tend to go a good job acting like analysts and building an argument, but Gemini is probably the best right now at synthesizing a coherent overview of a complex topic.

I'm constantly irritated that I don't have time to read the torrent of cool papers coming faster and faster from amazing people in relevant fields. Other scientists have the same issue and have no time to read most of my lengthy conceptual papers either. So whom are we writing
