Today is a wonderful day! Celebrating 2 first-author NeurIPS spotlight papers. Both works are about training and sampling generative models in data-challenging settings. I am also in the academic job market this year, seeking tenure-track positions in the US and the EU.

Last week at UT Austin Institute for Foundations of Machine Learning I gave a talk called “reasoning: a double edged sword.” We went from language models generating new hypotheses about cancer cell behavior, to ChatGPT tackling fresh (simple) math conjectures, to reasoning powered jailbreaks.
