We mourn the loss of our dear sister, Mildred Bailey, a cherished gem, and a trailblazer in the nursing field who passed away 4/13/2025. She was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha for more than 75 years. She was the 1st Black nurse practitioner for TrentonPublicSchools

Sandra Dawson (now Long Weaver) was a young reporter at the Wilmington News Journal in July 1974. She drove up to Philadelphia to attend meetings of the Association of Black Journalists so she could network with other Black journalists. She is a founding member of #NABJ Headquarters ✊🏾🖊️🎙️💻 📷 🎥 📝 🔈

Big news from the Camden City School District about possible job cuts and layoffs. Employees returned from spring break to this grim news. inquirer.com/education/camd…

There will be no NABJ membership meeting tomorrow night, May 7, 2025. See you next month! Thanks to Action News on 6abc anchor Tamala Edwards and all for supporting our fantastic two day celebration of Black journalists in Philadelphia last weekend. More photos to come!

I am humbled and honored to share that your write-or-die girl is a finalist for two awards for the annual (NABJ) #NABJ Headquarters ✊🏾🖊️🎙️💻 📷 🎥 📝 🔈 National Association of Black Journalists awards competition! The awards will be announced in August at our convention in Cleveland. This one is for little Brown

Just realized I didn’t share this link. I was honored to write about the women of the 6888. Thanks Sen Shirley Turner for sponsoring the bill that Governor Phil Murphy signed making Six Triple Eight Day an annual observance in NJ. inquirer.com/news/new-jerse…

New book union just dropped 🤩🤩 Excited to welcome the Quirk Books (The NewsGuild of Greater Philadelphia) to the Philly labor movement ✊✊

My latest from South Jersey. School Board members Patricia Blome and Connie Baker and board president Julie Kozempel filed civilian criminal complaints Washington Twp PD alleging harassment and other crimes. inquirer.com/news/new-jerse…

Great minds think alike! I posed the same question as well as the cost to @njdoe about Camden City School District and was told I had to file a request too. Make it make sense. #journalistsmatter
