No one is 'illegal'. Someone may be in the country illegally, or to have entered the country illegally, and those are very different things, but no human being is illegal. Every human being is an image of God and deserves treating with dignity accordingly.

Those getting angry about ‘graffiti’ in Canterbury Cathedral (it’s actually easily removable vinyl stickers) need to realise there’s graffiti from centuries ago in most ancient buildings. Usually carved into stonework. Generations have literally left their mark.
