I’m not sure who needs to hear this (actually I know exactly who needs to hear this) but kids don’t need to play sports at young ages just to try to get a scholarship or be a professional athlete. They do it for the enjoyment. It’s way past time to remember that.

If you are a high school player right now in the 26/27 class. DO NOT GO TO 10 camps. Go to 3-4 camps and space them out and choose schools that have shown you the most interest at this point. Be with your team in the summer. Prepare for a great junior or senior year.

Here’s your reminder when it comes to strength and fitness: Lift weights to get strong Cardio stands for cardiovascular, not fat loss. If you want to lose or gain weight adjust your nutrition. All of these work if you’re consistent. None of them work if you’re not.

The foundations of fitness are nutrition, hydration, sleep, breathing mechanics, nervous system regulation. Then add strength and cardiovascular training/health. No hack, secret, etc will optimize your health until you have a solid foundation.
