It’s not just an American thing but yeah. I’ve had people literally tell me to stop showing support to people doing “better” than me or to not help others if they haven’t helped me Weak mentality

If helping others or showing support makes you feel less valuable. Then you need to work on believing in yourself more. I know what I’m capable of and I’m secure in that. Lifting other people up doesn’t take anything away from that.
