David That’s why stats on ‘Black’ educators/ teachers aren’t always true. Because everyone who isn’t ‘white’ is classed as ‘Black’. Makes no sense to me.

So the guidance is and has always been that you should not take a PCR test within 3months of testing positive for COVID as you are likely to get a false positive. Yet now you must do a PCR test before you are allowed to fly. Can you see the conundrum? GOV.UK British Airways

Teachers stood outside a room while one of their pupils was stripped searched, forced to remove her sanitary towel and hold her anus open. They found nothing and she was returned to her exam. What kind of school allows that to happen to a young person they have duty of care for?

The whole of England stopped when a policeman murdered a white woman. A black girl was strip searched by policemen at school & we find out about it 2 years later. A child. And no one has been convicted or sacked for committing this crime against her.

There are children who I don’t even teach who I’ve developed bonds with and try to support however I can. So how is this possible? Sorry but I cannot make sense of this.

The Children Act 1989 says teachers have a duty of CARE towards pupils, traditionally referred to as 'in loco parentis' Meaning, if I comment on #ChildQ, her strip search and lack an appropriate adult presence, my ability to use the internet will be revoked.

It’s so important as a teacher for data to drive any conversation. As a Head of Sixth Form I’ve been having to have some difficult conversations with students about their uni choices because other teachers have sold them dreams about where they can apply. It’s a touchy subject.

What a journey! What a ride! Yesterday was an emotional day for me as it brought to a close this chapter of teaching for me. From completing the Teach First programme in Nottingham to then being a Head of Sixth Form in the last year in London, I’m grateful for it all 🥺❤️

This is amazing U.K. Gospel music !! Juggling this project and heading a Sixth Form was not an easy task over the past year !

This is from an FB group. And ppl ask why teachers leave so much? Well, in a world where flexi working and working from home have been utterly embraced, most schools are a million miles behind on this.

I’ve been hesitating to tweet on here since leaving education but everyday in this new job just emphasises how incredibly overworked and under appreciated teachers are. Something needs to be done or the mass exodus will only continue to get worse.

A young black girl was beaten up by an adult and multiple children outside school in Ashford yesterday. Neither passing members of the public or teachers intervened. I can't even imagine how traumatic this must have been for her. The school must be held to account.

David (@mister_dgee) 's Twitter Profile Photo

That school is clearly not safe for black students. A Grown woman was there coaching 3 girls into beating her up and stamping on her head whilst she was defenceless. The teachers strolled up to them at a snail’s pace to separate them. WHERE WAS THE URGENCY?!

I can’t stand bullies at all. And I hate it even more when it’s happening in institutions we send our children to get an education and teachers turn a blind eye to it. It breaks my heart that it’s now happening to my own family.

For years at Hendon School my sister has been a victim of bullying and racial harassment by students at this school where they’ve even had outsiders target her on her way home. My sister has every right to defend herself but she is always the one that ends up in detentions.

Let me tell you how sick and disgusted I am at hearing teachers at Hendon School trying to gaslight her when she’s in a vulnerable state. My sister has contemplated suicide and has been self harming because of the trauma she experiences at this school and NOONE tries to help!
