Our Grade 2/3s ended off Anti-Bullying/Friendship week with a Friendship Friday celebration. Students made friendship bracelets, wrote kindness stories and gave letters to their peers. Then everyone shared some Friendship mix that each student contributed to! 💗 St. Nicholas WCDSB

We have a a special guest in our class for the next few weeks - Snowball the kindness elf! He brought along with him a Kindness Tree Challenge for all the Grade 2/3 students. We can’t wait to see all the kindness acts shown over the next few weeks! 🎄

Grade 2/3 students began their journey on the Polar Express today to travel around the world to learn about different holiday traditions! We started out thinking about our own family traditions today and will continue our journey over the next few weeks! 🚂🌎

Our 1st stop on the Polar Express was Italy! Students learned about holiday traditions in Italy including the legend of La Befana and how children write notes to leave in napkins for their fathers at Christmas dinner, and even wrote some of their own notes too! Buon Natale!🇮🇹🚂🎄

We had a great first week in Grade 3 getting to know one another and our new classroom family. Lots of fun activities that brought our classroom community together as one! 💗

Grade 3 students celebrated Dot Day yesterday by creating their own unique dots! Students talked about the importance of a growth mindset and celebrating the power of “yet” 😊

Our Grade 3’s honouring Orange Shirt Day and recognizing that every child matters. Students wrote messages on their ribbons and tied them outside St. Josephine Bakhita CES . Today we pause and remember for Truth and Reconciliation 🧡

Grade 3’s St. Josephine Bakhita CES celebrated the end of Anti-Bullying and Friendship week with Friendship Friday! Friendship mix was made with each students favourite snack added to the mix, kindness notes written to peers and friendship bracelets made! It was a day full of kindness 💗

Grade 3s celebrated Shrove Tuesday and Valentine’s Day all in one! 🥞💌 Lots of love and kindness spread today and now preparing for the beginning of Lent tomorrow ✝️ Happy Valentines Day to all our families! 💗

We celebrated our published Grade 3 authors today! Students wrote and created their own poetry book and we celebrated receiving our published work today! Way to go Grade 3’s! 📝🤍
