This afternoon we read the story of ‘The Enormous Turnip’. We picked out the main parts of the story and practiced acting them out using movements and facial expressions. We performed for the rest of the class and gave tickled pink and green for growth feedback! Clyde Primary

As part of our topic, we are teaming up with P3 this week to make soup. Our job was the preparation so with some help from Lisa toner we worked to cut up all the carrots and coriander ready for P3 to cook and blend into soup! We can’t wait to taste it! Clyde Primary

Outdoor classroom day in full swing! Activity 1 was a 2D shape hunt. We worked with our partners to go on a hunt and then came together to discuss what we had discovered! #Clydeoutdoors Clyde Primary

Activity 2- we were given clues about the properties of 2D shapes and had to identify the shape and make it using loose parts resources! #Clydeoutdoors Clyde Primary

To finish our day we headed back outside to make number sequence caterpillars to consolidate our number order knowledge! #Clydeoutdoors Clyde Primary

P3/2 joined up with P3 to dish up and try our carrot soup which we worked collectively to make this week. It was delicious! Clyde Primary 🥕🥕

P3/2 were learning about the skill of visualising today. We had a go at listening to sounds to discuss what we visualised and then picked out key words from a text that helped us visualise. Clyde Primary

We have been working hard on groups this week to prepare a talk sharing some of our learning from our Farm to Fork topic. We presented our talk yesterday thinking about talk targets. Some super confident speakers in P3/2! Clyde Primary

Today we joined up with P3 to make some delicious Christmas treats! We made hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows and decorated a Christmas cupcake. We enjoyed joining our friends to eat and drink our festive treats! 🎄 Clyde Primary

Today we completed a Jigsaw group activity to learn about our new topic ‘Glasgow in the past’. Each group explored a specific topic: Transport, School, Clothing and Food. They then taught the rest of the class what they had learned. Clyde Primary

Food Technology Week 2- we used the bridge technique to cut lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber to make a delicious salad. Thumbs up all round! Clyde Primary

P3/2 loved learning how to create pictograms with Miss Nelson today. They also used their interpreting skills to interpret the data they had displayed. Clyde Primary

P3/2 loved learning about the invention of the telephone this afternoon with Miss Nelson. We even had a go at making our own telephones to see if we could communicate with each other! Clyde Primary
