Today in Diamond and Amber class we have spent the day expressing ourselves through colour. We decided to explore RAINBOWS! Rainbow We began by creating rainbows using ribbon and different materials on the light box.

This week the children in Diamond and Amber class are learning all about Chinese New Year, today we explored Dragons, we watched a dragon dance and even had a go at creating our own dance. We also enjoyed making our own dragons with Mrs Ali!

We also loved spending time outdoors exploring the snow, we made marks in the snow and even created our own sledge to help us to slide down the hills in our play ground!

In Diamond class the children have been very busy using Myon this week to read lots of different stories, one little girl has been so busy reading lots of books and couldn't wait to share her learning with the teachers! I think we have a dinosaur fan!

The children have loved playing in the water area this week, one little girl was playing with the ducks, she loves to sing nursery rhymes so today decided to sing a song about ducks! #EYFS #Nurseryrhymes

We have LOVED reading so many stories in Amber class, one of our favourites is Walking through the Jungle, we love creating our own actions and sounds for the animals! #eyfs #welovereading

We have had a wonderful day today exploring the blocks outside, we have spent time building friendships and working together to build super tall towers! The towers were so tall they often fell down so we were super persistent and worked hard to make them taller each time! #eyfs

We have had a wonderful first day back at school! The children have been very excited to see new and old friends! We have been painting, balancing and exploring the sand and water trays! #eyfs

Today two little mathematicians created their own number game in our water tray. The boys took turns to use their fishing nets to catch the numbers. When the boys caught the numbers they thought carefully and could name the numbers up to 5 "Look found 5, now found 2!" #eyfs

One little girl created her own game, she stacked up our cones and told her friends the rules "you got to kick ball to knock down." When the cones fell the little girl helped her friends to count how many cones had fallen down "1,2,3,well done 3 down" The children loved this game

We noticed we had ran out of play dough, so we decided to follow a simple recipe to create our own. We worked together to measure, pour and mix the ingredients. Once we were happy with our dough we spent the afternoon using the tools/equipment to create biscuits and cakes!

This week we have been enjoying playing in our role play area. The children love to imitate the things they see their family and friends doing at home. We have been doing lots of cooking, setting the table and caring for our babies. #eyfs

We love to sing in Amber class, we have a box which is filled with different nursery rhyme puppets. Today three little girls decided to play their own nursery rhyme game. They took turns to chose a puppet and worked together to sing the song! #eyfs

This week we have been exploring Easter. We are so excited to share our learning with you! Our favourite activity has been creating marks by rolling eggs in paint. We have also been filling and emptying eggs and even sorting them into different colours! #eyfs

Last week we found so many bees in our garden so this week we decided to explore Bees! We began by exploring the colours yellow and black. The children have loved sorting objects into colours, using the magnifying glasses to observe the bees and exploring our story of the week!

As we have been exploring Bees we learnt that bees are really clever and can make honey! Today we decided to taste some honey and even make our own honey sandwiches! We had a lovely picnic together with juice, sandwiches and a lovely story! What a wonderful day we have had! #EYFS
