When I accepted a new job for September back in January, it felt like it was ages away. I’ve got five and a half more weeks in my current school. Really starting to feel it. Going to miss this place 💙

Watched the staff at my gym take a delivery of about six new big inflatable ball things. We already had about ten. What are they for? What are they actually for?

Does anyone else feel like “And then I took off the VR headset” is becoming the new “And then I woke up and it was all a dream”?

Ahead of A Level English Lit tomorrow, I’m only now realising that listening to We Didn’t Start The Fire by Billy Joel would have been excellent revision for dystopian fiction….

Absolutely fab time last night Bridge Theatre last night for Guys and Dolls. Felt so close to the action, and we were all up and dancing at the end! Highly recommend!

Trying to come up with increasingly original ways to say “please can you turn your music down” to my upstairs neighbour. I’ve tried polite. I’ve tried matey. I’ve tried sweet. I’ve tried downright rude. None are working.

Marking in my classroom and the neighbours are having a barbecue. It smells SO GOOD. Surely this can’t be fair.

Started this one this evening, and it’s already tickled me. Thank you, Richard Coles. I’m a Vicar’s-Wife-To-Be, so I’m thoroughly enjoying all the little comments about the idiosyncrasies of parish life that I know will take up too much of our time in years to come!

Very excited to bring a group of the Kings Rochester Drama crowd to see this later in the week. We did this show as a school five years ago; the last of those who were in it are leaving the school next week. It’s going to be emotional!

Starting my new role in September suddenly seems a lot closer than it did when I accepted it. Incredibly nervous. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to try and alleviate this?

Packing a picnic for Wimbledon tomorrow, and I’ve just caught myself putting the cream in its own Tupperware “just in case.” This is it. This is the moment. I’ve become my mother.

I’ve recently finished this by Lucy Jones and I think it’s a must-read for school leaders. It includes the damning fact that 75% of children spend less time outside than prison inmates. Even in cities, it doesn’t have to be this way.

Now if this isn’t the makings of a great evening…
