Another Michaela visit! Teacher energy impressive. You can’t run schools on ‘personality’. But real concerted effort to build relationships & warmth. Lot of humour. Teachers bounce off each other. Teachers joking with kids very much in evidence.

So much of every Michaela lesson about culture. Merits. Extension hw. Celebration of effort & improvement. There’s no shyness about being seen to work hard. Very much feels like teachers know who’s giving their best.

I saw a large group of students accompanied by teachers in Stratford. Even as a teacher, I usually brace myself when I see so many students (and sometimes cross the road). However when I walked by, the students were well behaved, having intelligent conversation and smiling too.
