Adaptive Teaching and Scaffolding Pg2& supporting subject docs 🪜 Building on the document shared last week, pg2 gives a *general* overview of scaffolding strategies. We will explore some in our whole school PD session to generate awareness of the research and purpose of each.

These are my top tops for making texts accessible. *1.5- double lined spaced *line numbers *Gloss the vocab immediately above the target word *Add image if easier than words (e.g pikes!) No 3 also means you can easily read both target & explainer word when reading to class.

This! I love the concept of a hinge question on a MWB. I’ll be using this strategy as I work on being more intentional about assessment FOR, not of learning. Jamie Clark teaching one pagers are such an efficient way to learn about and incorporate evidence-based practices. 👏
