I feel so fortunate to be able to go back to one of my placement schools for probation year!! It will definitely be a year full of new adventures but at least I’ll have my own P1 class experiencing it all with me. I cannot wait to meet them and their caregivers tomorrow!! 👩🏻‍🏫

So proud of everything that my fellow coursemates and I have achieved over the past 4 years! Graduating today was an amazing feeling and I am so thankful to all of the staff who have helped us to become the teacher that we are today. The journey is only just beginning #uodedu

As much as I love the October break, I can’t help but keep worrying and wondering about my P1s. Are they okay? I honestly never fully realised the bond/emotional connection between teacher and pupil as a student teacher, but that has definitely changed now that I have my own 25.

P2's are learning about germs and did the bread experiment today. Waiting to see mould forming on our 'clean', 'dirty' and 'control' slices!

Sometimes we forget that children are the first and earliest adopters of new technology which emerges, and they always will be. I know i do.

3PP1 is opening my eyes up to why communication key. Speaking to caregivers at pick up has allowed me to learn so much more about my pupils!

Had the most amazing start to the day! I got the chance to go to the dundee literacy festival and meet Jaqueline Wilson. I have now met one of my favourite childhood authors 😍 She inspired myself and so many others to write creatively with her incredible stories!

As much as I love a snow day filled with snowball fights, snowman building and hot chocolate ❄️☕️⛄️ I can’t wait to get back into the classroom 😅 Feels like we’ve been off for weeks

Today in P2A the Easter bunny visited us through a story book and asked if we could help her save Easter by creating egg baskets filled with colourful and crazy eggs! Some amazing decorating happened and we became Easter hero’s 😃

Then the gingerbread man broke into our classroom at lunchtime and stole our Weekly Class Calendar. He left a letter explaining that he needed to use it as an umbrella but if we could make him a better one using our knowledge of materials then he would give it back! Crazy Day!

So unbelievably happy that I passed my final crit today 😃 Cannot wait for August when I will have a class of my own! ❤️👩🏻‍🏫

I cannot believe how fast the first week of block 2 has been! Only three more weeks of placement and then it’s all done... It’s starting to get very real that come August, I’m actually going to have my own class 😃

Had the best night on Friday celebrating the end of university at the MA Education Graduation Ball ❤️ It has been a super quick four years but I can’t wait for the next adventure to begin 👩🏻‍🏫 Miss Gordon’s very own class in Dundee!!!!
