Went out of my comfort zone and finally tried Pear Deck Learning with my first graders to teach compound words! Safe to say it was a success and I will definitely be using it more often!

First Graders at Meadow Hill participated in a March Madness Tournament of Books over the past 5 weeks, reading a total of 16 different picture books. Yesterday we voted for our final match up & the results are in! The 2021 champion is... The Bad Seed! Newburgh Schools

Today we kicked off my favorite part of first grade, our hatching unit! We learned about how eggs from the grocery store are different from fertilized eggs and placed them in the incubator. Can’t wait to meet our chicks in 21 days! 🐣
