Even though we were in and out of school this week with the snow days, we loved being back together again! On Monday, we made goals for the new year & had fun with a craft, and on Thursday a highlight was getting to share our about our snow days! ❄️💛 Rising Star Elementary ⭐️

We loved celebrating our 100th day of K today! Hats, 100 art, fun centers, jumping for 100 seconds, our fashion show & more! Proud of these little kindergarten stars for learning and growing in so many ways over these past 100 days! ❤️🌟💯 Rising Star Elementary ⭐️

These little love bugs had the “best party ever!” today to celebrate Valentine’s! We loved making special valentines this morning to bring home for someone we love! Our party was filled with smiles & we especially loved having a class family picnic to end the day 🥰❤️ Rising Star Elementary ⭐️

Happy leap day! Crazy to think that these little Kinders will be in 4th grade the next time we are in a leap year! We loved using toy frogs as our math manipulative for our number bond work today & leaping the frogs from the two parts into the total 💚 Rising Star Elementary ⭐️

Happy Earth Day! 🌎❤️ We loved singing happy birthday to Earth, making hats to remind us we all have the job of helping to keep earth clean, & coming up with ways we can help our planet. Rising Star Elementary ⭐️

This past week we started our ABC Countdown in Kindergarten! A is for art, B for bubbles, C for chalk, and D for dance party! We are looking forward to the rest of our fun countdown activities & getting to celebrate these little (almost 1st grade) stars ⭐️💙 Rising Star Elementary ⭐️

Last week we had a very special Webex! Thanks Jessica Risinger for taking the time out of your day to spend with us - we felt so lucky & loved seeing you and baby James! At the end one friend went up to my laptop and made a heart with her hands, then they all tried to squeeze in 🥰🫶🏼

These 2nd graders are already such stars! 🌟💜 I was in awe of them daily during our first 3.5 days together & am so proud of the way they are already embracing and caring for each other in our classroom community. They take pride in our school & work hard to be leaders!

This week we worked hard on finding text evidence to help us when answering questions about what we’ve read! We worked in groups to become experts on our part of the text & then got to present our learning to the class! They are loving being both scientists & readers 💛Rising Star Elementary ⭐️
