Coding club is back in full effect! Today we started using Codesters and they were loving the final part of level one where they get to create their own code 🙌🏼 love seeing what their brains come up with!!

Students at Weston were also introduced to their first robots today! Students had to lay out their code, click the arrows they see and then watch their robot go! Next time they’ll have a few challenges to complete 🙌🏼

CODING CLUB UPDATE: students in coding club Roosevelt School Manville were the first students to begin playing around with our robots! Our coding club students will be our first group of student tech help to assist their peers when we begin using robots in STEM class 🤖

At Weston today we started creating our own mazes and then coding our mouse robot to get through the maze! Students got to put water (blue) and land(green) anywhere on the grids to get the mouse through their custom map

3rd & 4th graders are being introduced to Makey Makey this week in STEM! We started learning how the circuits work as well as playing some games on scratch! Next time we will learn about the coding aspect behind these games and how they can begin to code their own games

Coding club students began experimenting with our VEX Robotics robot building pieces to just get their creative brains going! Next coding club session we will have a designing challenge!

Our Kindergarten, First, & Second grade students have all been learning about sequencing commands and intro to block coding (yes even our kinders!) over the next couple weeks students will be completing challenges with all of the robots 🤖

In coding club we started building a few models of VEX Robotics designs, these students will then be our leaders in STEM classes to help peers 🙌🏼

3rd and 4th graders this week were given different materials to create their own maze, then challenged with coding DASH Wonder Workshop to get through the maze while also adding in sound, light, and animation commands!The creativity was AMAZING 🤩 to be continued 🙌🏼
