Today Class 4 have been learning about partitioning in our maths lesson. We have used the base 10 to partition 80, 90 and 100.

Class 4 enjoyed searching the school grounds for different types of plants during our science lesson today. They found trees, bushes and lots of different types of flowers. Rockingham Primary

We had a visit from a dragon last night! Look at the present it left us! Rockingham Primary

Year 1 had amazing time today at the zoo! Some highlights were seeing the giraffes, flamingoes, penguins and a very cheeky Asian elephant!

We even got hands on with some of the farm animals. The goats enjoyed a scratch 🐐

We got to see some fish and a Pygmy alligator in the aquarium. Then got up close and personal with some of the butterflies! They were very close to landing on our heads!

After the book fair last week, the children received a book token to receive a new book. We then enjoyed some reading for pleasure time to read their new book.

Class 4 loved investigating using hands, footsteps and strides to measure different parts of our classroom this morning.

Yesterday afternoon, we enjoyed a science lesson outside. We created nests for different woodland creatures as part of our habitats topic.

Today we finished our DT unit by making our vehicles. The children worked really hard on these and they can’t wait to show you when they’re dry!

Yesterday we had the pleasure of taking part in a gymnastics workshop with Grace Harrison-Iley . The children had a great time and we certainly have a few gymnasts in the making!
