NEW- INQUEST say, “The high number of DEATHS speaks to the appalling under-resourcing of mental health services across the country. We’ve got particular concerns about the TREATMENT OF YOUNG WOMEN and young people more generally. Coroners are increasingly raising concerns.”

Neither autism or the label of BPD are mention, but they should be. For a lack of understanding of autism especially as it tends to present in women and AFAB folk, and the contempt and character assassination associated with BPD labelling is a huge cause of dangerous care.

“There is so much about the neurobiology of pregnancy that we don’t understand yet and it’s not because women are too complicated, it’s not because pregnancy is some Gordian knot, it’s a byproduct of the fact that the biomedical sciences have historically ignored women’s health.”

In a heroic move, Gisele Pelicot fought to make public the videos of her unconscious rapes at the hands of over 50 men and won. She wanted the public “to look rape straight in the eyes.” Shame, she said, must change sides —from the victims to the perpetrators. Police found more

1 in 4 women screens positive for a 'personality disorder' in young adulthood, yet this rate halves in later years. Attributing these profound difficulties to 'personality'—a supposedly lifelong trait—not only contradicts the data but reflects a misogynistic framing. #TraumaNotPD
