If you want to get more people back to work make childcare affordable AND most importantly pay the proper hourly rate to cover free hours! The Govt extension of free hours is not properly funded! We are on a path to a complete pre-school childcare nightmare unless action is taken

Great Labour teams were out in Rubery, Allens Cross, and Northfield yesterday. Residents raised serious issues about crime, the NHS and housing. Lots of people said they are backing Labour and can't support Rishi Sunak or the Tories - we are working hard for every vote.

Two excellent teams were out in Kings Norton North and Weoley and Selly Oak wards this afternoon and evening. Carmel Corrigan, Jamie Tennant and I picked up casework and there was a lot of support for Labour. Huge thanks to Lilian Greenwood, Councillor David Barker and others for joining us.
