The picture taken by @write_MD on the Younghusband Peninsula shows a spectacular 10m high scarp. This area has lost ~100m+ of beach and dune so far since the 1980's. Our ARC funded study of the Coorong will examine the evolution of this and other areas of the Holocene barrier.

The ‘Young Coastal Scientists and Engineers Conference’ is coming up and Flinders University will be hosting a local hub. Abstracts are now due on May 20th, get in touch if you would like to come along to the South Australian hub at ausycsec.com.au Marine & Coastal Research Consortium

Winter storm patterns have definitely kicked in. A mix of emotions at the moment with 16 sensors currently deployed in the nearshore across South Australia.
