Just over a year ago with my favourite #womeninSTEM. What an adventure it has been since then. The #girl gang is still going strong though. #womeninthefield ⁦Graziela Miot da Silva⁩ ⁦Sarah_McSweeney⁩ ⁦Talitha Santini⁩

The picture taken by @write_MD on the Younghusband Peninsula shows a spectacular 10m high scarp. This area has lost ~100m+ of beach and dune so far since the 1980's. Our ARC funded study of the Coorong will examine the evolution of this and other areas of the Holocene barrier.

Our KI Spotter wave buoy is getting some action today in Investigator Strait (Hs ~4 metres)! A lot less inside the Gulf though (~1.5 m), but good fun in the Mid Coast! Head to sawaves.org and check it out! Marine & Coastal Research Consortium

When you have the same last name as your PhD student, and you told the University when asked that you were not related. Pretty sure we are not but sometimes it does look like my son found a new older brother @write_MD

Winter storm patterns have definitely kicked in. A mix of emotions at the moment with 16 sensors currently deployed in the nearshore across South Australia. Hopefully our frames will survive the next 5+m swell this weekend! Beach and Dune Systems Laboratory Marine & Coastal Research Consortium Women in Coastal Geoscience & Engineering Flinders University
