First grade had a paw-some time celebrating the 101st Day of School!From counting to 101 to building with 101 items, and even writing and reading all about the number 101—our first graders made every moment count!

Mrs. Hayes had a fin-tastic time reading Clark the Shark with our kindergarten friends! They talked about the importance of kindness and how we can all be friendly! Being kind makes the world a better place!

Our 2nd graders have had a productive week! They've been exploring measurement, learning to measure with nonstandard units like tiles and mastering standard units using rulers! And of course, they’ve been busy with some fun word work too! Keep up the great work!

Our 5th-grade music students took on the challenge of playing both drums and barred instruments! The tricky part? Each instrument had a different part, so students had to stay focused and not get distracted by their neighbors. A great lesson in teamwork and concentration!

A HUGE thank you to our amazing Minshew PTA for bringing the YUCK Show to our Colts today! The students had an absolute blast and learned so much along the way. We are so grateful for all the support that makes these special experiences possible for our kids!

PJ Day was a blast! Big thanks to everyone who rocked their PJs on Friday – you made the day so much fun!

Look at our 2nd graders tackling Thinking Task! They’re learning all about AM and PM while building their very own clocks to show time in 5-minute and 1-minute increments. Such a fun and interactive way to master time-telling skills! Keep it up, kiddos!

Our fabulous first grade students were tasked with describing and recording the observable characteristics of weather as well as describing the patterns of the seasons. Check out the windsocks they created to demonstrate their learning.

We’re learning about many different cultures here at Minshew as we prepare for Culture Night on April 15th. Here the first graders are practicing hard for their Culture Night performance!
