The people who actually want to change do it now. Not tomorrow. Saying 'this is my last cigarette' is cope to feel better about not changing. If you've been resisting change for awhile, maybe you don't actually want to. Which could be fine. It's worth thinking about

I'm researching how people experience overthinking. I'd love to chat with anyone who overthinks. DM me if you'd be open to talking.

Sometimes overthinking is a defense against harsh truths. Your brain coming up with elaborate scenarios that you secretly wish were true.. trying to protect you from a simpler but more painful reality.

There's a limit to how much thinking helps. At a certain point you're just creating fake stories in your head. Most things can only be learned through doing, through engaging with reality instead of just contemplating it.

It's never too late. You can always choose a new direction, become a new person, or simply get back on the path you were on before. No matter how much it feels like something is holding you where you are, it's imaginary. Just begin again. However many times it takes

The cure for overthinking is action. It always has been and always will be. It's harder than it sounds because you've built a habit of thinking instead of acting. Our brains are wired to repeat what they're familiar with. Each time we overthink, we reinforce that mental

We've struggled with overthinking since ancient times of Babylon and Bible. Today's constant stream of information has only made things worse. Stay with today

If you’re constantly pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, it grows. You become comfortable with things you weren’t before.

I was in a dark place a few years ago. Nothing seemed to be going right for me. I don't remember why, but I started doing a simple gratitude journal. Nothing crazy, just jotting down 2-3 things I was grateful for every day. A few weeks later I noticed my mind started to feel
