New paper shows that the scale of corporate profit repatriation out of the global South is... massive. "Between 2005 and 2020, transnational corporations repatriated an annual average of one trillion USD." onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…

Profit repatriation is theft. Profits made in global South host countries, which are produced from local labour and resources, should be reinvested to improve national development. Achieving this must be a core objective of Southern industrial policy.
