Wow... 20 years of Milliblog, today! A hobby that went far too long and continues, even as it has morphed all along :) Still remember the earlier days of '100', '200' and '300' and all the fighting that used to ensue in the comments section from dedicated fans 🤭

"This isn’t any music revolution, as if Reshammiya missed out on his due then. His return, against all the odds, is working. But not because the music is crafty. It’s because there is something sadly sweet about looping back to what we once knew, even if it was a cringe fest".

TIL a famous song from the Tamil debut of a famous Telugu composer, in 1991, was inspired partly by a 1986 song called 'Sally', by a singer named Carmel. The Tamil song uses the musical phrase almost as-is and also concocts a melody out of it, and then takes on it's path :)

Random recall of this absolutely magical melody from Vidyasagar and I started going on a mental time travel of the man's brilliant form back in those days! youtube.com/watch?v=8-p0x-…

Mildly surprised that Rachita Ram is present in the trailer of Coolie (so, not too small a cameo, perhaps?) but is not even mentioned in the list of actors and crew in the description! Even Pooja Hegde, who features in a song, is mentioned specifically.

Saw the news of Rasna relaunching 'Jumpin' (which was launched by Godrej way back in the 1980s/90s) and was one of the first Tetrapak drinks in India alongside Frooti and Appy! Even if Jumpin was phased out only during the pandemic, it had already lost the brand recall/value long
